No snow for sledding? No problem! My grandma would have had an absolute conniption fit if she saw the kids doing this:
I kind of did too... until I saw the sheer glee on their faces and heard the pure laughter. It's not everyday that they find something they all love to do together. And it's not the laughter we always hear...
You only live once. And I have industrial strength carpet.
[not so] funny story...I dropped my Nikon and now the flash doesn't work. Pretty cool effect though even if you can't see the glee on their faces. I promise, it was there.

we did this quite often as kids & have stories to tell. Great fun!
Next time have them strap a piece of cardboard on their behinds - they'll come down much faster.
Shay know you're saying, "Thank you, Mom."
Hope nobody bruised their tailbones.
We loved diong this as kids too. We had this silk blanket we'd wrap ourselves in to make us go faster. It was so fun...until Eric's foot went through the wall at the end of the stairs. Oops. Ahhh...good times.
The best is when you use sleeping bags (nice and slippery and slightly more dangerous).
Thinking of you and sending loves and good happy thoughts your way.
That just looks painful! I'm glad they were having fun though!
So sorry to hear about your camera. But have i ever told you how much I love the carpet on your stairs? Just a few days ago I searched (and searched!) your posts from last year just so I could show Pie your carpet (with cute Vivs perched on the first step). True story.
And hooray for sledding Cali style.
Yes, this goes on at our house also, sleeping bags are by far the fastest way down! Give it a try, I have.....good thing I have a lot of padding on my booty!
So much fun. We used to used sleeping bags to help us go super fast.
We tried the other day and it kinda hurts the bum!
I am cracking up! Looks like so much fun. The kids got pretty daring.
You just have to let go once in a while. Good Mommy.
Your kids are too cute! That does look like fun. Glad it didn't end in tears (so many of the funnest things for kids do).
Thanks for the tip on my blog. The problem is yet unsolved. I think I'll use tylenol tonight see if it helps. Hadn't really thought of teething... but All the symptoms are there! Thanks a lot!
Whoa! You are always doing something fun at your house, can I come and play?
Can't wait for the party later!!!
