"Dad, why is there a sign that says 'phone' over there?" (Mons)
-Didn't even consider that Monson (8) had never even seen a phone booth. Curt took him on a 'field trip' and showed him 'an old fashioned' phone and how to use it. Fun for all. Guess it's like the 8-track for my generation....or maybe the 'cassette tape'...I'm just getting old.

"Look!!! They're getting married!" Exclaimed Lexie as she was listening to yet another USA athlete being awarded a gold medal at the Olympics...
"No, Lexie...that's

our National Anthem." The music, the flowers, the exuberant crowd...And now that I think about it....
Was she really thinking the girls were getting married? To each other??!! Can't usher in prop 8 fast enough, seriously.

Lexie is so cute! Its so funny how kids perceive things sometimes. By the way, what's the Raggedy Ann and Andy class? Is it just a preschool or is it something else? I was just curious! I did leave a comment on that post, just forgot to ask down there!
Did Curt show Monson a rotary phone too? In Ithaca, NY (in 1960) we had a phone that was on the wall that you had to crank to get the attention of the switchboard operator for our "party line". (That's a phone line shared by several people. It was easy to easy drop on your neighbors....) In fact, we shared that phone with our downstairs and there about 6 other people on the party line. Talk about getting old...vinyl records were what I had.
That is SOOO funny. You should have seen my daughters face when I told her we didn't have microwaves when I was little. WOW!
Lexie is so funny. And congratulations on Vivi's 1 year anniversary of coming home!
That is so funny. I saw a phone booth the other day and asked Rob, "When was the last time you saw one of those?" Granted we were in Mexican Hat, Utah!
Ditto on the Prop.8!!!
