Hooray!
After an exhausting and mostly deflating search of lovely Temecula, Carlsbad, Escondido, and San Marcos, we finally signed on the dotted line last night on a fabulous home in Temecula! Our contract date officially begins July 10th. YES...a short 10 days from now. So, the official packing, Craigslisting, prepping, and plans can begin and I'm sure will continue until way past July 10th.
But this is not goodbye.
The place we will call home at least for the next two years will suit us perfectly and is only a short 35 minute drive towards wine country. And best of all...I am allowed to paint. The whole house is a bare white canvas. If you know me... the wheels are turnin'! Our walk-through is this Sunday.
Let the craziness begin CONTINUE!

so glad to hear this good news! Good thing you've given yourself a head start packing!
Yeah! I'm so happy for you guys, and I can't wait to see how you decorate this home!
yipee! I just called and left a message asking if you signed and when I can come help pack! Let me know.
Be really careful on Craigslist. Last week I had someone in TX e-mail me saying they'd buy our Cross-bow and a money order was on it's way. Friday, afternoon, I got another e-mail stating that "her secretary" had made a mistake and made the check out for $2,000 more - for me to deposit it and wire the $2,000 to her mover. I called the bank, in MO, to find out if there were sufficient funds - guess what! Yep, fraudulent. I contacted the FTC and Craigslist and made claims with all the e-mails and address of the sender and "mover". I think they did this on a Friday so that I couldn't check with the banks - luckily I called before the bank closed for the weekend. Some people have NO conscience. I e-mailed her and told her that I'd only accept cash or PayPal -
That is great news congratulations. I can't wait to see pictures.
Congrats Shay! Sounds perfect. White walls. Can't wait to see what you do with the house. Let me know how I can help.
Hugs!

I've been thinking a lot about you and your fam hoping something would come through soon. The key adjective in your post was "fabulous"--I can't wait for details about everything! Congrats!
I am so relieved to hear your plans. Here's to hoping your transition is smooth and dare I say "fun"? My kids all thought our move was a blast!
