A quiet house spells TROUBLE

When it's quiet in our home that's a quick sign that things aren't normal.

So I went upstairs and this is what I found:

You may see a precious & peaceful sleeping baby...

unless you know my house and know that she's actually hanging over a LEDGE

... and it's only a ginormous drop to the steep stairs below.

but when a girl needs a nap, any place will do.

She quickly grew tired from creating yet another hurricane.

Frankly, just looking at her trail of messes makes me long for a nap.

I think she needs a leash.

I promise, I DO watch my children....most of the time.

I did hear the pencils being thrown, dropped...and I thought to myself 'no biggie'...until it grew increasingly more quiet.  A quiet house spells

T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

That is AWESOME!!!! It totally reminds me of movies when the camera zooms out. What a sweetheart!

I KNOW your house...and right now my heart is in my throat!!! Good thing she had the sense to lean her head on it, instead of climbing over it!

thank heavens for sleepy angel dust (oops...that's a drug, isn't it?). I'm amazed there isn't marking all over the desk and wall...that would look more like the work of MY trouble makers.

SCARY!!! Is that little Vivie going to be a dare-devil like her mom? She has no fear or maybe she was just too tired to realize!

That is one cute picture, but oh how scarey! I think I would've freaked out..."quietly"

I think you need to rename baby Vivie.
Tasmanian Devil. Fits her at this stage in her life.
We used to call Emily the Little Tornado.

Oh my goodness - my Grandma heart just stopped beating! Even if you moved the chairs she'd find a way to get up there. The little stinker!

Oh my goodness, I bet you about had a heart attack when you saw her sleeping there! I'm so glad that she fell asleep. That little girl loves to explore everything! By the way, love how you posted the pictures.

Quiet=disaster. I know this all too well. And if you think she can make a mess, just imagine what 2 & 4 year old boys can whip up together. It must be genetic.

Oh my gosh, I just laugh (and freak out like only a mother can) at the post-hurricane/tantrum/exhaustion/display of energy pictures. I don't know if I feel sorry for you or feel envy at the fact that your little hurricane has more room to travel than mine does... I guess it's just a mixture of both? :) Good luck on the clean-up. Don't feel bad if you just vacuum *around* the mess!

She's probably so tired from all those messes she's making:) Pretty cute!

I'm back!

I love how that little thing can fall asleep anywhere. Well, maybe I don't love her falling asleep so close to a sheer drop off, but you get the idea.

Really, Brynlee and Vivie should probably not hang out...I can picture it now, one hanging over and the other holding on! We have had far too many of those quiet times!!!

Yikes! Glad that she decided NOT to give you a heart attack. My house is the same. Quiet equals nothing good. What a sweetie she is though!

Speaking as a mother whose two year old fell out the second story window.....my heart is beating very fast and my fingers flying faster! Goodness....the thought of her falling down from there sure brings back alot of horrible memories. All I can say is that I hope that she doesn't go up there anymore. My son managed to open the window himself, press his face against the screen and fall out headfirst. Truly we were blessed by our Heavenly Father because he only needed ten stitches just below his eyebrow. He landed on bikes and the doctors said that if he had landed on the concrete he would have died. I hope this post does not offend. I would feel horrible if I did not share my story with you of how EASILY this could happen. I pray with all my heart that you never have to go through what I did to learn this. My son had never even shown any interest in being around the upstairs windows. It just happened that he woke up from his nap and heard his brothers outside and wanted to see what they were doing. Anyway, good luck and I hope all is well.
