I'm a 'tip junkie' fan. A while back Laurie (tip junkie) promoted an etsy store called Studio JK and I fell in love with her style and ideas. I ordered this vinyl initial decal. I didn't want it to go directly on the wall, but rather be preserved for longer than we live in this house...you know, 'the house that someone else built.' So I bought a pre-cut round piece of wood at Home Depot and fab'd it up. How darling is this hanging above McKenzie's PBT lilac daybed? One more project to check off the list which helps to unclutter my guest/ project/ junk /craft room. (you can click on the top series of photos to enlarge them).

Shayla-
Seriously? How do you do it? This SUPERMOM thing? With all of your adorable kids PLUS you still do all of these crazy projects!! I'm so jealous! My mother-in-law and I are the BIGGEST fans of your blog and probably the most jealous too lol But lately I have been spending time at all of your favorite websites and have ended up buying a ton of vinyl lettering and decorations. (My husband got away with claiming my purchases as "the birthday presents he didn't think of but bought for me" so thanks for all of the inspiration! Love you and your family and miss you guys lots!

So cute - I'm glad you haven't painted over her triangle designed walls. I like the way you've made her bed into a day bed style. She looks pretty pleased too.
Hey, will you measure my mothers little dressers so I can see if they'll fit in the back of my carrito? IF you feel so inclined you can paint the second one too (hint).
love, MomAma
You are so creative and talented! I don't know how you do it all with a large, young family. You should write a "how to" book. Seriously. :)
very cute. did you do the painting on her walls...how do you get the lines so straight and even?
I didn't paint the diamonds--they were already here when we bought. But the trick is to paint the whole wall one color. After it dries, you cut contact paper into the diaimond shape and stick them on the wall in the alternating pattern where you don't want the contrasting glaze/paint. Then paint away and you have your nice, even pattern.
LOVE it!!! You always have the best ideas.
SO cute!
desperately looking forward to the 18th.
Hey, Shayla. I am totally cracking up reading your blog. I'm glad you found me. It's so nice to get caught up...and hopefully stay in touch. I can't believe you have SIX kiddos. You're crazier than in HS :)
Real quick.... we still live in AZ but are looking to move to south OC or Carlsbad area within the next year. DONE with the AZ heat. email me if you want and maybe we can get together next time I'm in SoCal shauneewilliams@cox.net
I was so glad that I got to read about your Viv. Remember when you came and saw me right after I had my 3rd (also a premie)? I think that was the last time I saw you! He is almost 12 now! Anyway, we'll have to catch up sometime:)
Love, Shaunee
oh yeah....Mary's cancer is the same kind Chris had (I think). Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, b cell, stage 1. She is hopefully 1/2 way through chemo now. Prognosis is good....the journey just SUCKS.
Shayla, I'm starting to wonder if you ever sleep. I can't believe all the wonderful things you do...it inspires me to try and be better.
Shayla doesn't sleep! I finally figured it out, that's why you can do so much! Adorable!!!
Love the hanging and McKenzie's room! When I was growing up, I always wanted a day bed! When we decide to get Mattie a twin size bed, I want it to be day bed. Very cute room!
Just catchin' up w/ your blog....this is so cute. Kenz looks happy in her space. Happy crafting, SUPERmama!
