This is how Vivie feels about the whole experience! I think she's had enough! This is how she would sleep in the hospital--funny girl! I'm at Mark & Tal's house....it's 5 am Sunday morning. We were released yesterday...kind of a surprise. Vive has definitely improved ten-fold, but I question if she was really ready to leave her new best friend, the wall suction. She HATES it...no, that word isn't strong enough. She DESPISES it and glares at all the yellow people, but she needs it. She's struggled to sleep without the suction and normal xopenex treatments (we have an inhaler and spacer, but it's just not the same). Last night she sneezed 9 times in a row and with each 'a-choo' out came a pot full of thick snot she was choking on. Guess she's got to figure out someway to move that snot! Mark found a $300 one-way flight for Sunday night and so I purchased it. Yup, could have flown Monday afternoon or Monday eve in Mark's bennies for $40, but somehow waiting for standby didn't appeal to me and I just need to get my babe home to see HER docs Monday morning. Call me crazy. My bed is calling me too. I miss my family desperately. But, yes, thankfully, we weren't released from the hospital to the streets of Tacoma! Thanks, Mark & Tal for your help!

Shayla, I'm so glad that you and Vivie are coming home. I hope she continues to improve and you guys make it home safe and sound!
Shayla,
You are my hero. Hang in there--(as if you haven't heard that phrase a million times before!)
Today in Sac. Mtg. a guy (someone who has moved into the ward after you moved) bore his testimony about the strength of mothers. His mother, his mother-in-law, his wife's aunt, etc. I suddenly found myself balling realizing that this grown man was a product of a good mother. YOU are an AMAZING mother and I look up to you so much. Of course it was YOU who ultimately diagnosed Vivie with Pneumonia! Of course it was YOU who flippin' knitted her I'm SURE what are adorable booties and hat. And even though your other kids will probably overwhelm you with their needs when you get home, I KNOW that heaven will give you the strength to endure and give them what they need. I hope you're still coming up for WC the end of April. I could use some of your amazing mother strength! Give our love to your family.
Hope you both make it home safely tonight and that Vivie feels completely better soon. Poor kid has already been through way more than her share, she definitely gets that strength from you.
I'm sooo glad you're coming home!!! Curt looked T-I-R-E-D today at church. So glad you're back together as a family. Nothing is harder than being apart.
I hope you two made it home okay. We continue to keep you guys in our prayers. You are a great mother, and I'm sure that Vivie is grateful that she chose to come to you!
What an ordeal... Glad you got out of the hospital... AGAIN... and that you will be able or are home. I hope Teresa is able to come and help out.
As if preemies don't already have a rough start to life! I'm glad she is well and you can head home. We will keep you all in our prayers.
Erica
