..And I'm not referring to the decade, but this amazing weather! Where else can you go in February to comfortably basque in the sunshine , wiggle your toes in the sand, and watch your kids splash in the water? Yeah, Florida, but I'm partial to So Cal...San Diego in particular. Oh! I live here! Ha--sometimes it still feels like a dream...come-true, that is. Last week we had record rain and freezin' temps and this week we're pulling out the summer wardrobe and enjoying the 80's! I just may head to the beach when the big kids roll in from early-out school. Eat your heart out my frost-bitten friends who are still shoveling snow! Been there, done that! Yes, I earned my bragging rights in case you were wondering~! Vivie loved her first sand experience. Woohoo, spring-here we come!

We stepped out of the car and the aroma of salt immediately hit our senses. The seagulls gracefully flying overhead were an amazing sight (as long as they stay far away and don't drop their bombs on me!). The enormous waves were

Whenever I have my toes in the warm sand and watching my children play in the water, I always think, "Aaaahhhh...now THIS is the life!" So glad you were able to enjoy the great outdoors today! The closest I got was driving around with my sunroof open. I guess I'll get some rays this weekend though!
Boy this makes by bragging about the 50's a little sheepish...Ahhhh maybe we should be coming to you during break...be sure to bring your sweatshirts and slickers its rain for us again today!
Well, we went to the zoo today and it was in the high forties and we didn't even have to wear a sweatshirt if we were standing in the sun...so...so, there! I really do miss the beach!
This post made me way jealous...I am still cold here. :(
Love, love the new blog look! You're good!
I, too, love family beach day...family ski day, family sledding day, family anything:) No, really, something about the water and sunshine is therapeutic I think. I love the beach. Those are precious pics too!!!
I also think the fact that you were able to live in San Marcos during your pregnancy w/ Vivs is evidence of the tender mercies of the Lord. During such a trial you were able to live in a place that lifts your spirits and is your little dreamland. I love that.
Yea for the beach! We are going to Southern Utah this weekend to try to enjoy the 70's, so you definately still have us beat. Vivie's bow is HUGE and ADORABLE! Where do you find these things? If you tell me you made it, I'm going to be so bugged! Seriously, if I ever have another girl, I want that bow--(or one like it!)
Your kids all look so cute and big!
I too love the beach! Living so close is such a blessing for us. I love to drive by and watch the sun glittering off the water. But, I was just saying to Matt the other day that I am not ready for 80 degree weather yet. It was 87 last week, and I still want it to be in the 70s for a little longer. We did have a cold front come through the other night and it has been in the low 60s! Glad that you are living your dream!
It was fun to see you at the park and get to talk to you more in person! :) Your kids are so cute. The weather has been gorgeous!
We're not quite that warm and we don't have the beach so you definitely win. But we don't have to deal with the snow so I'll take what I can get. I finally caught up with all you're posts after not checking for a long time. What a busy lady you are. I know I was not meant to have 6 kids. You seem to do it well though. Keep on truckin' and I hope you get your vacation.
For reals! I sometimes think that I would like to move and live somewhere else for a change. Then I come to my senses...WHY? I live in San Diego!! I love it here, and the beach is the biggest reason for that I'm sure. We'll definitely give you a call the next time we go!
We have beach in Utah - just no ocean - well, our beach is still covered with 18" of snow - at least half of it has melted!!!
I MISS the ocean - the smells the sounds - the WARMTH
