So we ended up being blessed to take refuge at my mom's husband's daughter's home...so my step-sister. What an incredible family they are! Now I know why I have to 'fight' for my mom's time when she comes to Cali--who wouldn't want to hang out with Lori & Glen???
The kids are all on the mend and we really needed to be in the clear air so their lungs could get a chance to heal and the anti-biotics and all this medicine can take effect before we return. The question is, though, how we're going to get these kids away from this 'vacation' house and Lori & Glen's hospitality!
They swam in this amazing pool with a rock waterslide, watched Nemo on this massive theater screen downstairs, played Wii with their new-found idol, 14-year-old step-cousin, Stacy, and are sleeping in most this amazing playroom. Oh, Izzie & Lexie get to sleep on a tempur-pedic bed...no wonder they got some zzzz's last night! Not to mention a 3-hour nap this afternoon. I think I need to try their bed:) Many thanks to Lori & Glen and their
amazing open-arms!

I guess you haven't had enough adventures for one year yet. We sure were wondering how you all were fairing. Glad you are out of harms way and in better air.
I'm so glad you guys are safe and apparently very happy! Can you have any more drama in 2007??
Yeah...I guess our house could have burned down...that would have really topped off 2007!
We were amazed that we had no signs of the fires where we were. I wondered about you guys the whole time that we were there. I'm glad to hear that you are okay. I think that you have definitely had your share of excitement for the year and the next few to come!
I guess you can pray for more fires so you can evacuate your new vacation spot. Sounds like a cool place.
